The stone and shingle-style readaptation of the original house was done by a Boston architect, Henry Payson Clark. Called Allview, it was featured in several Cabot Stain advertisements. (click) We know that by the 1930'sand 1490's, the house took in guests. People would spend the entire summer in the house.
Today, The Manor Inn, with its Pine Cone Pub, Commodore Room Restaurant provides the traveler with a place to relax and enjoy this historic coastal town of Castine, Maine.
