Fourth of July...A special day in Castine Maine Castine reaches back into time....you can see it....as you drive down the elm-llined streets of Castine. You know that you have come to a place that is special. At the end of route 166 is our small village, which dates back to the early European discovery of this wondrous land. Four nations may have fought over it, but it resides in the US reflecting its colorful history, architecture of a prosperous time before and now, and connection to maritime life. Those who were born here or gravitate here--either to live full-time, to summer or to visit--are here because Castine connects to their inter being. Those who offer services are here because they want this way of life.
